Plot summary

Soo-hyun comes across magical pills that allow him to go back and forth in time. 30 years to the past, young Soo-hyun meets future Soo-hyun and learns that his girlfriend will soon die because of him. In order to save her, the two Soo-hyuns try to change the past together, but a completely new and unexpected past is formed that leads to a new future.

Will You Be There? (2016) - A Thoughtful and Poignant Time-Travel Drama

South Korean cinema adds another gem to its repertoire with Will You Be There?, an adaptation of Guillaume Musso's 2006 bestselling novel of the same name. Directed by Hong Ji-young, this film beautifully blends science fiction with deep emotional themes, delivering a heartfelt story of love, fate, and second chances.The narrative follows a skilled surgeon, Soo-hyun (Kim Yun-seok), who, while in Cambodia, saves a young girl's life during a flood. Wish I could time travel too

Wish I could time travel too, to the past, correct all the mistakes I made. This is the premise of this movie. A doctor with months to live thinks of the past, where he didn't pay more attention to his gf then and she died in an accident. He given a chance to go to the past, which he did, met with his younger self and convinced the younger himself to change matter thus allowing his gf to live. the rest you'll have to check it out yourself. A nice poignant love story. What if? the sad question we ask ourselves in our old age. I would love to be able to do that. Go back to the past but with our greater experience and wisdom, how much more we can achieve. A good movie to watch, take it at face value. And don't be too skeptical, like how come the older self is SHORTER than the younger self who is towering over him. Did he get shorter and shorter when he got older and older. LOL.
