At first I was a bit confused. Is the character Orelsan and the actor Aurelien or the other way around. Then I figured it out. The character and the actor are one and the same, some famous French rapper with the nom de plume Orelsan.He plays himself in a fictional story where, disgusted with fame and fortune, he goes away to Japan together with his pregnant wife to get away from it all. And then accidentally dons a magical Japanese armor that makes all kinds of Yokai attack him. He must figure out what's going on and fight ... well... his demons. There is not much subtlety in the film.But I enjoyed it. The French/Japanese mix, the egotistical and childish protagonist, his kickass wife. The music was not that prominent, which is weird for a rapper platform, but the songs that I did focus on were OK. Not a rap fan myself, so if I liked them, that means something.Bottom line: probably more for fans of Orelsan, but a pretty direct storyline with a "moral" at the end that doesn't mean too much, but it's not stupid either. It was entertaining, but a little bit too indulgent with the duration. For what it did, two hours was a little too much.
