It had the potential to be so much better

Ok it's his first director movie but this actually started quite well. I was hoping it would become a 3 way game of cat and mouse but it didn't which is a shame. The torture scenes could have been longer and also more interaction with the wife as she never tried to free herself. The chase scene wasn't so good as you could see the reshoot edits. A better script would have given us a better movie.
