Plot summary

Zuhal, a successful lawyer living alone in the center of Istanbul, begins to hear the sound of a cat in her house one day. She sets out on a quest in her apartment to find this cat, which no one has heard of but herself.

a low budget movie

The leading actress won awards at several film festivals. That's why this movie caught my attention. It is a low-budget film that takes place almost entirely in a single location. Characters were at the forefront rather than stories and events. Some of the acting was good, some was very bad. Those who don't watch an average movie lose nothing.

Hearing the voices

Wonderful movie with a very talented cast. Zuhal thrives in her role. Zuhal tries to find out the source of a disturbing voice coming from a distant place, she discovers other's voices and voicelessness cut by gender roles.Too noisy males -either a child or an adult-, too quiet females -either a child or an adult-, a woman violating the rule of voicelessness but she is crazy and not heard again, quiet mothers with noisy kids, spill over voices coming from people in isolation (homes, beds, cupboards) are the elements in the movie.The noise coming from a cat stuck somewhere in the apartment leads us to discover the rules of being heard.
