A refreshing cinematic success

An original and refreshing addition to the Quebec film scene. The action starts immediately. The entire cast delivers strong performances. Touches of Agota Kristof and Denys Arcand are evident in the script. Contrary to what several critics claim, the film doesn't lack credibility, provided you've experienced something other than a comfortable life or frequented certain snobbish intellectual circles and their exclusive gatherings. The film loses steam for about fifteen minutes in the second half, but quickly regains its momentum.
