BELIEVE!

What stands out most in BELIEVE is its powerful core message: that believing in oneself is the foundation of true courage, and that dreams-no matter how impossible they may seem-are always worth fighting for. Good film, but seriously misleading.

Historically, this film is so inaccurate, and portrays the Indonesians as the "Good Guys" where in reality,, they were the invaders, murders and, all in all, the terrorists. It shifts blame for suffering onto the resistance, rather than acknowledging the Indonesian army's documented scorched-earth tactics during its occupation. Apart from that, from a first person perspective, was enjoyable an moving. Just do not take this film as a history lesson, nor as a true representation of what really happened in East Timur.
