Pretty bad amateur movie...

Needless to say that I hadn't heard about this 2018 horror movie titled "Cry", prior to sitting down to watch it here in 2023. So I didn't know what I was in for here. But I have to say that I wasn't really harboring any expectations, given the movie's synopsis. Yeah, it just reeked of a found-footage movie. Yet, I still opted to sit down and give director Octavius Ra's movie a fair chance.I am sure that the concept idea behind the script for "Cry" was good on paper. But the transition from paper to screen wasn't a good one."Cry" was not a good movie. Not even by a long shot. And it was sort of a low budget high school film project reminiscent of the "Paranormal Activity" movies. Except this movie just didn't manage to pull anything off, not that the "Paranormal Activity" movies were much better.The acting performances in "Cry" were fair, for the most parts at least. Director and leading actor Octavius Ra just wasn't really carrying the movie with his acting performance. Of course I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list here.As for "Cry" being a horror movie, well that might be stretching the term quite a bit. The most scary part about this 2018 movie was how generic and bland it was."Cry" is a movie made by someone with a digital video camera and getting his friends to show up and participate in the making of the movie, plain and simple. Amd despite of it having a runtime of only 62 minutes, it is actually not worth the time or effort.My rating of "Cry" lands on a one out of ten stars.

Terrible

This debut movie is terrible. The lead character who also happens to be the director/producer of the movie, is pathetic to watch. The story line would have been OK if Jay Tanner wasn't the lead actor. His acting was poor due to need to be in front and centre and obnoxiously loud. I wasted my time watching a D grade movie.
