Biased? Absolutely. Worth Watching? You Bet.

I'll admit it up front-I'm the director, co-writer, and producer of Down to the Felt. Which means I'm obviously rooting for this movie. But if you're into crime thrillers with sharp humor and great characters, I think you'll have a good time.We shot the whole thing in Columbus, Ohio, and pulled in an amazing cast: Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield), Michael Weston (House M. D.), and Scottie Thompson (NCIS, 12 Monkeys). They make the ride just as unpredictable and fun as we hoped it would be.So yeah, I'm biased, but if you're looking for an indie film with grit, laughs, and a few unexpected turns, take the gamble on Down to the Felt.

Hit the Jackpot

Down to the Felt is a fun indie movie filmed in Columbus, OH. It will have you laughing out loud and rooting for the characters. The story is really interesting and keeps you guessing, even if you don't know the first thing about poker. It's a great film with a lot of heart. Definitely a winner in my book.

Smart, focused, & visually layered storytelling

A frank, yet, humorous insight into the gamblers world, with a twist. The characters are written and acted honestly. No wasted space within the cinematography, while a layered atmosphere and lighting provide a visual pop. The players fit their roles beautifully, and even the city of Columbus performs its way into the actual cast. The story's veneer is peeled back, revealing character psyche through the acting and editing. Feels shot for the edit while also allowing the material to naturally develop and be its own. There are human moments within the script that these actors breathe substantive life into. No dinosaurs, no supermen, no asteroids. Just a story told well, with a few laughs and I very much enjoyed it.
