Decent enough

Better than expected. Slasher horror good storyline. Kept me entertained. You should check it out.I guessed the killer early on but I could've been wrong.. but all in all a great well put together film 7 stars from me.Found it a bit weird from start as during film you see same scene but it was intentionally done that way. *Reporter outside school scene*

Leaning on a twist

This is a teen slasher. Not a particularly good one, and it wants to lean into its twist, which is unfortunate, because the suspense does not build in a way that lets the viewing audience engage with the twist. It just is, and you never truly question what it is going to be. It makes the movie dull and predictable. It would not be hard to fix, but they chose to go with a very predicable route, and now we end up with this. Such a shame.

Some Issues but a definite Improvement over recent Slashers

As modern day Slashers go 'He's Watching You' is fairly good. The kills are well handled, look good and sound very squelchy, I was impressed by the acting, especially the younger cast, which made a pleasant change. There is a lot of heart and soul in the performances that you don't often get in modern films. Also, the look of 'The Pill' is great. It's not easy to come up with a fresh idea for a killer that doesn't remind you off something better. They don't quite manage that but it's probably about as good as you're going to get.The downsides are the plot, writing and timeline. There are plot holes and lots of niggles, especially near the end when it felt like the characters were actively not telling each other important stuff or not doing something to drag things out. Writing & script are the areas where films have fallen foul the most in the last decade. It just seems like no-one can write a really tight, coherent story anymore. This wasn't the worst example but some common sense would have sorted several of the issues out.So, it's not a bad film, but it's not an excellent one either.
