A feel good Christmas movie!

My daughter and I loved Jingle Bell Wedding! We loved the original Jingle Bell Love and we were so excited to see the sequel. The actors are great and the storyline was sweet. I found myself smiling through most movie. It was an added bonus to hear Joey McIntyre sing in Jingle Bell Wedding. The perfect heartfelt feel good holiday movie! 10/10 recommend!

Michele Morgan is the only good thing about this movie

Jingle Bell Wedding is a holiday romance that tries to wrap itself in cozy seasonal charm but struggles to deliver the warmth and emotional sincerity the genre depends on. Starring Joey McIntyre, the film centers on a familiar story of love tested by career ambition, timing, and the pressure of major life decisions. At its core, the premise has all the ingredients for a heartfelt Christmas movie, but the execution feels rushed, hollow, and painfully predictable, making the experience feel more like a chore than a comfort watch.Joey McIntyre's performance is, unfortunately, the biggest obstacle for the film. His acting often feels stiff and unnatural, with line delivery that lacks emotional rhythm. Scenes that are supposed to feel romantic or heartfelt instead come across as awkward and disconnected. Even his musical moments, which should have been a strong point given his background, feel strained and uncomfortable. Rather than enhancing the charm of the film, his presence frequently pulls the viewer out of the story. There's a noticeable lack of chemistry between him and his co-star, which makes the romantic stakes feel artificial and unearned.By contrast, Michele Morgan is the true bright spot of the film. Her performance feels grounded, genuine, and emotionally present. She brings a natural warmth to her character and carries herself with sincerity that the rest of the film desperately needs. Her singing voice is strong and emotionally expressive, and her acting feels calibrated to the tone the movie should have achieved. Sadly, her efforts are undercut by the weak script and uneven performances around her. She feels like the only actor fully committed to creating an authentic emotional experience. The screenplay is painfully formulaic, even by holiday movie standards. Every story beat is telegraphed far in advance: the career opportunity, the emotional distance, the misunderstanding, the temporary breakup, and the inevitable reunion. There's no suspense or emotional risk, and the dialogue feels generic and uninspired. Rather than letting moments breathe naturally, the film speeds through emotional beats, making them feel rushed and artificial. The lack of originality leaves the viewer feeling like they're watching a rough draft of a much better movie that was never fully developed.Visually, the film looks like a standard made-for-TV holiday production. The decorations, lights, and festive environments are there, but they feel more like props than atmosphere. There's very little creativity in the camera work or staging, and the direction never elevates the material. Instead of feeling magical or immersive, the movie feels flat and visually uninteresting. The holiday aesthetic becomes a thin layer of paint rather than a meaningful emotional setting, which is a missed opportunity for a genre that thrives on visual comfort and warmth. In the end, Jingle Bell Wedding feels like a project that leaned too heavily on familiarity and name recognition instead of focusing on strong storytelling. While Michele Morgan shines and does her best to give the film emotional credibility, the weak writing, dull direction, and poorly executed lead performance prevent it from ever becoming memorable. It's not a movie that inspires repeat viewings or seasonal nostalgia. Instead, it fades almost immediately from memory, leaving behind the feeling of wasted potential and a reminder that holiday films still need heart, not just decorations, to truly work.

The story continues but...

5.6 stars. The tale doesn't end with the first film, so they made a sequel that never should have been. This one doesn't have the same feeling as the first, because now the romantic tension is past and the leads are in the engagement phase. The romantic tension is replaced with a story about her following her dreams of being a famous musician. It's not as entertaining a plot by far. She's practically gone for most of the film. They sort of go back and forth, but her screen time is limited compared to the first film. This was a mistake. The daughter is a bit older and growing fast, so watching that transformation is a bit unusual. I can imagine the stress of acting and puberty conflicting with each other in a child's mind and body and it just gets complicated. As the lack of a narrative continues, he is managing his daughter's teenager band, which includes her two teenage male friends (one she has a crush on) and they are practicing for a Christmas concert. The female lead's assistant now has a more prominent role and it's strange to see and doesn't fit. They had to make this sequel and tarnish the thing by using leftover ideas. Not impressed.
