This is what Independent film is about

I discovered this on Amazon and the poster image intrigued me. Read the synopsis so gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did. It's a slow burn in some areas but I was really drawn to the lead actor and the cinematography. It has its own style which is really unique. I felt like I knew these characters after the movie was over. Really great chemistry between the two leads. They have a longer dialogue scene in a bar which feels like familiar scenes in other movies, but the chemistry between them felt special here. I found myself grinning in certain moments. And then the second half starts and the bad guy shows up, went a completely different direction. Great job all around! I looked up the director and watched an interview of him about this movie. Saw the dedication in the credits and so sad to hear the guy who played the bad guy passed away in real life. Made me want to leave a review. I would recommend this if you like independent cinema and a throwback to movies they don't make anymore. These types of stories and films are more important now then ever with the state of movies nowadays. Will be keeping this guy on my radar and seeing what is next.

Honest and real portrayal of PTSD

This was something I've not seen before as far as this "type" of movie. It's hard to categorize a film like this because it's not like other movies I've watched. There's a drama/romantic storyline mixed with a thriller feel. I really enjoyed this and it shows a real portrayal of PTSD, which I struggle with and I have family that struggles with it. I've seen the exact look the main actor has several times in his eyes in family members who struggle with this. I would highly recommend this if you like great character studies and great acting from an actor I feel like will be getting bigger roles. I read that the actor that played the villain passed away. He was incredible too. This movie is one that will stick with me.
