Lame

This movie held my interest with no problems all the way to the very end. Then it just got really dumb, really quick then boom. Movie's over. Idk what to make of this movie because alot of it just didn't make any sense. Important questions were never answered. It left me feeling like WTF But definitely not in a good way. I think the writers got bored & lazy & just decided to end it abruptly. Lol. No thanks.

This movie is hard to talk about because it had potential unfortunately it also has the worst ending possible very disappointing, it's one of those movies that you wish the right people could have worked on it and written it and directed it. The. Characters are easy to hate the ending is atrocious and the music was terrible.

Beautifully shot, occasionally spooky, but ultimately hollow.

David Moreau's Other opens with an intriguing hook, creepy mask, eerie woods, and a chilling sense that something sinister is hiding just out of sight. It sets the stage for what could have been a haunting psychological descent into grief, memory, and madness. Unfortunately, despite a strong performance from Olga Kurylenko and a promising start, the film never quite delivers.Kurylenko stars as Alice, a woman returning to her childhood home after her mother's death to settle her affairs. The house is frozen in time, a tomb of unspoken pain and unresolved memories. When Alice begins hearing noises and catching glimpses of something lurking in the shadows, Other shifts from gothic family drama to supernatural horror, but not always smoothly. There's undeniable atmosphere here. Moreau knows how to build unease through stillness and sound: creaking floors, whispers in the walls, and that feeling that someone or something is standing just behind you.But where the setup promises emotional depth and creeping dread, the script delivers confusion and repetition. Scenes drag as Alice wanders the house, flashes back to fragments of her past, and reacts to a presence that's more hinted at than explored. By the time the "big reveal" lands, it's less shocking than it is deflating a twist that's meant to be profound but instead feels like a shrug.Olga Kurylenko gives it her all, grounding Alice in raw vulnerability and quiet desperation. She almost single-handedly holds the film together, elevating moments that would otherwise fall flat. Still, even her commitment can't rescue a story that circles its own themes without ever digging in.In the end, Other is a haunting without a heartbeat a ghost story that mistakes mystery for meaning. It looks great, sounds eerie, and occasionally stirs a chill, but when the credits roll, you're left with the same feeling as Alice: staring into the dark, hoping there's something more there.
