A Fun but Flawed Sci-Fi Ride

Raduaa Returned is a decent timepass, funny in parts, uneven in others. The story picks up the time-travel idea from the first part, and while it's good to see Punjabi cinema experimenting with sci-fi again, the execution really struggles.The future world they show (year 2255) looks worse than a video game. The VFX and special effects are painfully bad, instead of adding excitement, they pull you out of the film. And Khali's character, honestly, that was rough. His acting and dialogue delivery were so off that some scenes felt almost torturous to sit through.That said, the movie isn't all bad. It has some genuinely funny moments and lighthearted scenes that keep it from being a total miss. It's the kind of film you can watch once for fun, without expecting much logic or polish.Also, there's a strange gap in continuity, in the first movie's ending, the girl travels with them, but in this sequel she's just mentioned once and completely forgotten after that. No explanation at all that where did she go. And the ending hints at another sequel (now moving to 2755), but honestly, that feels unnecessary.Overall, Raduaa Returned has a few laughs and nostalgic moments, but weak writing, bad VFX, and inconsistent acting make it far from great. Watch it only if you're curious or just want some mindless entertainment for a couple of hours.

Review after watching

I really didn't expect the Punjabi movie industry to downgrade its content this much. Over the years, it has delivered some great films with strong storytelling, humor, and cultural depth. However, the recent releases seem to lack originality and quality. Instead of evolving, the industry appears to be relying too much on repetitive storylines, forced comedy, and predictable plots.The creativity that once made Punjabi cinema stand out feels missing. Many films now focus on superficial entertainment rather than well-crafted narratives. Weak scripts, exaggerated performances, and unnecessary additions make them feel more like a cash grab than an artistic effort. While there are still a few good movies, the overall trend is disappointing.Punjabi cinema has so much potential, and it's sad to see it moving in this direction. Hopefully, filmmakers will realize this and bring back the depth and authenticity that once defined the industry.
