Oh no, a movie from Maverick Entertainment. As soon as I saw that ethereal horse galloping across the screen accompanied by that strum of guitars, I have to admit that my expectations to the movie went from slim to none. And the name of the writer and director, J. PaulTheDemiGod, was also a massive red flag going off of this being anything but a grand movie. And then there was the title, well...Regardless, since I had never heard about this movie, prior to stumbling upon it, I still opted to give the movie a fair chance and the benefit of the doubt.The storyline in the movie was pretty straightforward. But some of the dialogue was rather clunky, and many characters were caricatures and generic stereotypes. It wasn't exactly outstanding writing that drove this movie."She Use 2 Be" is listed as a comedy, but there wasn't an ounce of funny material to be seen within a mile of the movie.Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And with someone named 2kupzz, well it wasn't exactly boding well. The acting performances in the movie were adequate, but nothing outstanding.As I have never been a fan of rap or hip hop music, then I have to admit that the music in the movie was insanely annoying to me.My rating of writer and director J. PaulTheDemiGod's 2023 movie "She Use 2 Be" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.
