IT WAS A DARK & STORMY NIGHT!!!

Interesting note: Alison Sweeney not only starred as Hannah Swensen but also wrote the script for the Hallmark mystery movie Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. She adapted the screenplay from the book Sugar Cookie Murder by author Joanne Fluke. This marked one of her several writing, producing, and acting roles in the franchise.Hannah's bakery is serving cookies and coffee at the Masquerade Party to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Lake Eden Inn, and she finds a body of an Inn employee. The murderer is also trapped at the party, due to the storm and a fallen tree blocking the only roadway out. Hannah helps investigates and gathers evidence to solve the murder mystery. The story includes the usual elements: It was a dark and stormy night, and an array of "usual suspects".Victor Webster is Hannah's boyfriend, Chad, the DA, who attends the party with her, along with her mother Delores,(Barbara Niven) and her boyfriend, Ron, (Mike Dupod), the sheriff.It's just an average murder mystery, nothing special or out of the ordinary. But the viewer expects a little better quality in the script for this series.

Not as good as the other movies in the Hannah Swensen series

I always look forward to Hannah Swenson movies! This Hannah Swenson movie doesn't measure up to the other movies in the series. I was disappointed. Where was Norman the dentist? I always look forward to seeing him. And Andrea? I always look forward to seeing her, too. She is so funny, just like Delores! But Delores wasn't funny in this movie. And the costumes that Delores, Hannah, and Chad wore were horrible! And the ending didn't make sense, or did I miss something? It was just a disappointing movie all the way around. I gave it a 3. I hope that the next Hannah Swenson movie is better than this one.
