Not particularly great...

I had watched the 2023 "The Boulet Brothers' Halfway to Halloween TV Special", and genuinely liked the 2023 show, so I was somewhat familiar with the concept here, when I sat down to watch the 2025 "The Boulet Brothers' Holiday of Horrors" anthology.The first story is titled "Gaudete", directed by Swanthula Boulet and Dracmorda Boulet, was adequate, though you hardly get submerged into the narrative before it comes to a closure. It would have been nice with a bit more time to have the narrative fleshed more out here."Yeti or Not" is the title of the second segment and it is directed by David Dastmalchian and he also played the Yeti himself. This segment was rather simplistic, to be honest and not as enjoyable as the first segment.The third segment is titled "Old Acquaintance" and is directed by Akela Cooper. This was my personal favorite, as it had the most elaborate and entertaining of stories.With the fourth and final segment being titled "Down the Chimney", directed by Kate Siegel, you should know that it is an oddly animated segment. Not cartoon, but animated puppets.There are some familiar faces on the screen, with the likes of David Dastmalchian and Bonnie Aarons. The acting performances in the segments were good.The effects, make-up, props, sets and costumes in this 2025 movie were good, and definitely added to the overall impression of the movie, the atmosphere and the enjoyment of the movie.Ultimately, I found this to be a swing and a miss, as it was really shallow and each segment was given way too little time to be fully explored and enjoyed.My rating of the 2025 "The Boulet Brothers' Holiday of Horrors" lands on a four out of ten stars.
