Great movie

I watched a "The Decedent" recentl and really enjoyed it! It had the right mix of suspense and atmosphere without going overboard. The tension kept me hooked, and I liked how it balanced eerie moments with a story that felt engaging. Definitely worth the watch for a good scare, one of the best found-footage if that's your thing.

it was pretty good

Tubi is hit or miss but i saw this a few times on my feed. So i gave it a chance. It was really slow in the beginning but it picked up at the end. The acting was good and it was cool that they had access to a funeral home. I would recommend this especially if you like found footage movies it was one of the better ones i have seen.

Solid To-The-Point Found Footage Horror

Another solid showing from Andrew Bowser. The Decedent wears it's inspiration on it's sleeve--The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Mortuary Assistant, a bit of original Blair Witch, etcetera. There's not much fat to be trimmed here. You're not getting groundbreaking horror, but you're also not doomed to a weak-sauce PG-13 slog. The movie hits the setup, the lore, and then the horror at a good pace without breaking stride. The fixed multi-cam security footage style works well, and the Go-Pro POV is a clear evolution from Bowser's early work "Worm." I'm not a huge fan of the footage error effect, but I can forgive it in exchange for some sharp practical effects. Overall, I had a good time with The Decedent, and I think it was worth the watch.
