Cliche and Cloying

I do not understand the 8.8 rating on IMBd. This movie was a string of cliches spun out of control by some very poor over-acting. The actors playing the husband and wife had no chemistry and were completely mismatched. The only saving grace was the actress who played the girlfriend.I'm from a large Italian family and found nothing resembling the culture I was raised in. Rather than being "heartwarming," the movie was a mess of rude and disrespectful family members. This film seems like a bad remake of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Every scene was predictable once I caught on to the shtick that was presented.Don't waste your time or money on this one.

Don't miss The Italians!

I don't understand how anyone couldn't enjoy this movie! It's got laughs, it's got heart...it's meaningful. Any nationality can relate to this family and see their relatives in these roles. It's all about family... after the film, it makes you want to call someone you love just to hear their voice. Incredible cast, seasoned writing and directing. Hope there's sequel!

No True Italians in sight!

This movie was extremely disappointing, especially after all the great reviews I read. I don't understand how it made it to the screen. The writing and acting are both atrocious. There was not one person who came across as a real Italian. How could anyone actually say it was a good movie is beyond my compression. Do not waste your time.
