Needs to push the limits more

I remember saying after the first 'Jester' movie that I hope Colin Krawchuk learns from his mistakes and fixes them in the sequel. And he did - a bit. But not enough.I think the biggest problem is that he seems unable to fully commit to the brutality a film like this needs. Audiences need to be uncomfortable when this character is on screen, worried about what he will do next. 20 years ago some of the things that happen in this movie would've been pretty edgy. But by today's standards they're very tame.And it's a shame because the look of the 'Jester' character is great. He's set up, ready and waiting to be a great character. He just needs to be fully unleashed. Maybe in the next one. 4/10.

The Joker meets Art the Clown

It's a relatively fun horror film that clearly takes strong influences from the Terrifier trilogy. The movie takes a lot of pride in its kill scenes, but the plot is rather flimsy, we're basically going from kill to kill with little character development. While it's a fun new movie for Halloween 2025 it won't be fighting to end up on any top 10 lists. Its halfway there for me.
