Pleasantly surprised

Not just another Hallmark film This one has beautiful scenery , a fun storyline and really great leads I forgot I was watching a made for TV film I've never scene actor Ryan Corr before and found him to be an amazing actor. It's truly worth a watch. Now I feel like I need to visit Australia Perhaps Hallmark has a deal with Travel sites as they do a great job promoting different places around the world that one may never get a chance to visit.

Strewth! Hallmark's gone Aussie, mate. Fair Dinkum!

These on-location films are amongst the best Hallmark releases any given year.I'm an Australian, so it was fun to watch this very enjoyable production and tick off all the Australian cliches and things that get mentioned. You know, Vegemite, driving on the other side of the road, accents, Outback Steakhouse, 'Crocodile Dundee', The Seekers, Aussie Rules football, our coffee culture, meat pies, nicknames, Aussie slang and sayings ("you little ripper!") cute animals and animals that can kill you, etc."A Melbourne Match" is very, VERY good for the Victorian capital.Sweeping shots of the city and surrounds, and scenes at pretty much all of the city's most famous locations. Indeed, the main character is a travel journalist, so the plot lends itself to showing off the city.Stars Mallory Janson and Ryan Corr (who have great chemistry) are both from Melbourne. Must have been fun to show off their city like this."Underbelly" star Gyton Grantley, who so memorably played Carl Williams, has a small role, too.

This was a good one

This movie is a very effective "Book your flight to Melbourne" commercial with a side of romance, and I am not mad about it. I'm convinced. The male lead was charming, rugged but not wooden, chivalrous without being cheesy, and with actual vulnerability. And bless the writers, the female lead did not spend the entire movie saying "sorry" for existing, which is one of Hallmark's most annoying habits. Often female leads are written to say "sorry" even for breathing, which is a Hallmark trope I cannot stand.
