We've seen it all before BUT......

I approached this one with some trepidation but was pleasantly surprised.Yes, it's a variation on a theme we've seen before but the skilful storytelling and direction made it worthwhile.Other than Aidan Gillen I'm not familiar with any of the cast but they were good, in fact, very good and the bad guys were never completely "over the top" as they tend to be in similar scenarios.The only complaint I have. The state of the soldier's son. What possessed them to create such an appearance for a boy. If I was a soldier returning home after a tough tour of duty abroad and saw my son looking like that I'd definitely suffer PTSD as a result. What on earth were they thinking. It was so bad and completely unnecessary I've docked a star off my rating.

It's nearly there.

Ok was an ok movie to watch. The fact it was set in Ireland that's a win for me anyway. The storyline I've seen before in other movies and this movie was good but not the best I've seen this year. Althoughdefinitely one to watch acting is good the main character played acting was excellent. Aidan Gillen was also why I was drawn to this movie from Game of Thrones.
