But why...?

No, just no. I stumbled upon the 2025 movie "Battle Beyond Mars" by random chance. And without having heard about it, nor knowing what I was in for, of course I opted to give the movie a fair chance. I have to say though, the movie's was adequate enough to make me pick it up. However, had I known that it was a movie written and directed by Mark Polonia, I would have given it a very, very wide berth.And with the movie being not only written and directed by Mark Polonia, but also starring Mark Polonia, you just know it is going to be a suckfest of epic proportions. Yeah, movies that are written by, directed by and starring the one and same person tends to be questionable affairs.The storyline in the movie was pretty straightforward, no doubt about that. But it was hardly an entertaining script and storyline for what it was, but nothing outstanding.How does stuff like this even get greenlit and put into production?I've seen enough questionable Mark Polonia movies to actually be familiar with Jeff Kirkendall, which happened to be the only familiar face on the cast list. The acting performances left much to be desired. Needless to say that you're not in for an evening of award-winning performances here.The special effects in the movie were exactly that: special. I loved the Wish-bought tinted visor that they used in the movie on M-38. And the CGI effects were not impressive, some of it was .Don't waste 70 minutes of your life on this movie, trust me. Some of us literally suffered through this, and took one for the team, so you don't have to.Needless to say that the movie's cover over-sold the movie by a landslide. So don't get your hopes up here.My rating of writer and director Mark Polonia's 2025 movie "Battle Beyond Mars" lands on a two out of ten stars.

Don't waste your time.

If you get any positive ratings for this movie, it's probably from a cast or crew member. I tried watching this as I really like science fiction, and saw the one comment about how this movie was so great it was going to 'dethrone Alien'. Yeah, O. K., was my first though, and man, was I right. Acting was horrible, effects were sub par at best, and I made it about 15 minutes into this before I finally had to ask myself WTF was I doing still watching this? I finally stopped, and gave up. If this was a decently made 'B' movie, I probably would have watched it all the way through, but this does not even qualify as a badly made 'B' movie, and that's just sad.

Haven't even watched it, but...

Am giving it 4 points just for that poster. Would have given 10, but deducted 6 points for the screenshots shown here, even they indicate a low budget every things going to look and sound terrible.Will pad out this review by asking AI "what makes a really bad movie" 'A really bad movie usually has a weak plot, unconvincing acting, poor pacing, inconsistent tone, and low-effort writing. If it can't keep viewers engaged or make them care about the characters, it quickly falls apart.'
