Bla bla patriarchy bad

In the first 120 seconds we see clearly black dudes in Ireland 1500 years ago murdering some random priestessesthen we hear about: male dominated religionpatriarchyshape shifting immortal queenwe see a woman's work being given to a manwe see a man calling a female doctor "miss" and her correcting himapart from that we have an edgy teenage girl that keeps saying "whatever" and a dude who says the only form of communication on the location is the radio room and then 30 sec later answers a phone call.I think I can see where this is going:Hi, AI I need a modern horror movie script (...)

Cheap Effects, Weak Script

The Morrigan is built around a promising mythological concept, but the execution doesn't fully live up to the idea. The visual effects feel quite limited and low-budget, which weakens the overall atmosphere instead of enhancing it. The script also lacks depth, with minimal character development and a story that doesn't build tension as effectively as it could. While the film has moments of potential and a clear intention to create a moody horror experience, it ultimately feels underdeveloped. With stronger effects and a more polished script, it could have been far more engaging.

Dreadful

There really must have not been a script supervisor on this. It seems so amateurish - especially with the dialogue.For example:The daughter is pouting in her room. The one guy brings some vegetarian food to her in her room. While the girl is still pouting in her room, her mother asks the same guy downstairs if he got her daughter some food. He says yes and that he left her food in her room but she was in the bath. Then the mother immediately goes to the door of her daughter's room and asks "Have you eaten yet? There is dinner downstairs in the oven."Like what?!?!Oh, and movie is full of incoherent and nonsensical stuff like that because someone clearly got an A in Bad Screenwriting 101 at discount film school and dropped out.The effects are terrible (especially those stupid snakes) and the ending is beyond trite and moronic.Such a waste of a premise and setting.
