Watched at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.Imagine if Lucrecia Martel directed The Craft, this is basically what this movie is. Damped with humid vibes and a warm coming-of-age horror tale, it blends many of the themes pretty well with some great camerawork, performances, and strange horror fantasy elements that are stunning and engaging.Laura Casabe's directing creates a supernatural horror vibe in Argentina. Perfectly capturing the atmosphere, tension and vibes that the characters are navigating throughout. With a strong performance from the main lead, the performances helps enhance the character engagement and dialogue moments between. I do appreciate some of the themes it explores as it Casabe does approach certain aspects most filmmakers haven't tried yet in recent times. Despite some characters are a bit thin, I do enjoy the journey the main character goes through.Especially with a great third act that lives up to the tension and vibe. After seeing When Evil Lurks, Argentinian horror has proven to make some really unsetting and interesting works of horror in todays' time.
