Surprisingly good...

Despite the fact of never even having heard about this 2026 movie titled "Be Happy", as I stumbled upon it by random chance, I still opted to give the movie a go. After all, I do think all movies deserve a fair chance.The storyline in "Be Happy" was actually enjoyable. Writer Cameron J. Ross put together a nice storyline, which worked not only because of the storyline, but most certainly also because of the character gallery.There were a few familiar faces on the cast list, with the likes of Tisha Campbell, Mekhi Phifer, Zing Ashford and Russell Hornsby. The acting performances in "Be Happy" were good, and I have to say that leading actress Tisha Campbell and actor Mekhi Phifer really carried the movie quite well.This movie turned out to be a nice surprise of a movie. It is a movie that is well-worth sitting down to watch if you enjoy realistic dramas that are driven by an interesting storyline and a good character gallery.My rating of director Gabourey Sidibe's 2026 movie "Be Happy" lands on a six out of ten stars.

Great movie! I wish I vould give more than 10 Stars!

This movie was well written, well acted and very well directed. It was so great to see a movie with mature adults with mature themes and mature and engaging dialog. It was refreshing. The use of MJB's history making song as a reference and subject matter rooted this movie's theme. I hope to see more movies directed by Gabourey Sidibe as well as more movies using MJB song catalog. I'm a big fan of all thecactors and actresses and it was great to see their awesome performances. As a long time fan from the very beginning of MBJ's career, the great movies that can be made would be endless. Can I suggest "No More Drama" as the next song to movie? I had to ask "Girl! Gaboure girl, what do you know about these themes targeting my generation at your age? She handled the themes and the direction with such great care. This being Gabourey Sidibe's directorial debut and such a successful and great movie; she can only get better! I haven't watched a Lifetime movie in a very long time, years in fact. What a great way back to watching Lifetime movies and what the channel has to offer.
