Stupid and boring

Sooo stupid and boring. The premise alone is beyond stupid.A model falls of an ice cliff at night after shooting some outdoor commercial and lands right on top of an ice floe. She does not break every bone in her body from the fall alone or freezes to death over night.Nobody of her team has the bright idea to just look down the cliff to see her body lying there. And yes, she does not only fall down alone but somehow a lot of survival gear falls down with her. (Facepalm) The ice flow she is on then floats over night out to the sea (although it is absolutey windstill and all the other ice floes underneath the cliff stay in place) She miraculously ends up so far away from the shooting location that not even helicopter search teams can find her - although it is still sunny and you can see for miles.Sounds stupid?Yes - because it is.I then used the fast-forward-button just to see if it gets more stupid - which it does - but don't let me spoil the most idiotic and boring movie experience you can think of for you if you are into this kind of thing.Watching paint dry is more exciting.Because the "movie" (or whatever this is) also adds absolute boredom to absolute stupidity. It was so painful to watch even with fast forward and some stops that I switched it off halfway through. The most boring 10 minutes of my life.

Director's note on the film's tone and genre

As the director and writer of The Drift, I want to offer a small clarification about the film's tone.Although some marketing materials highlight thriller elements, the film was always conceived as a drama: a quiet, intimate story of endurance, identity and the psychological landscape of being alone in an extreme environment. My intention was not to build a thriller structure, but to focus on the inner journey of a character who must confront silence, memory and fear as much as the physical conditions around her. Viewers bring their own expectations to any film, and all reactions, positive or critical, are part of that conversation.I'm grateful to everyone who has taken the time to watch it. If the film is approached as a survival-themed drama, I believe its themes and pacing make more sense.Taavi Vartia, Director.

Waste of time in the name of survival

Choose any random survival movie rather than this, like what kind of garbage this movie was, super baseless and visually lame, this movie is like cringe dream that you dont want to evne think of.Survival movie? Yeha why not, only survival i saw was last 10 minutes of this movie.Rather change the genre tags to, drama and love(baselss)
